Privacy notice
Your data, in plain English.

Who we are
The data controller for the personal data described here is Michael Adeyanju, trading as Canvas & Call, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. Contact: hello@canvasandcall.com.
What we collect
When you book a call we collect what the booking form asks for: your name, email address, business name, your website or social page, the competitor you'd like us to look at, the time you chose, and anything you add in the notes. If you email or message us, we keep that conversation.
This website has no forms of its own and sets no tracking or advertising cookies. We do not ask for, and you should not send, passwords, ID numbers, bank details or any private information about other people.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To hold the call you booked, prepare for it and follow up. Basis: steps you asked us to take before a possible contract (NDPA 2023, s.25(1)(b)).
- To reply when you contact us. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Our preparation only looks at public information about your business and the competitor you name.
Who processes it for us
- Cal.com: takes your booking and sends calendar invites.
- Google Meet: runs the call.
- Google: our email and calendar.
- Vercel: hosts this website and keeps basic server logs (such as IP addresses) for security.
These providers may process data outside Nigeria. We rely on their contractual and security safeguards, as permitted for cross-border transfers under Part VIII of the NDPA 2023. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep your booking details and notes for 6 months after our last contact, unless you become a client. Then we delete them. If you become a client, we keep what we need for the engagement and our legal records.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to processing, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Email us at the address above and we'll reply within 30 days.
If you're unhappy with how we handled your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Changes
If we change this notice we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you've already given us, we'll ask again.
